Reasons Not To See The N ..
Let's face it, everytime a live action version of
a cartoon is made into a movie, it ends up being awful. Case in point,
The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas.
The Go Speed Racer theme song, orginally very catchy, has not been
really featured in the trailers. Meaning, that the movie version is
going to be non-existant or re-done by some awful, edgy, emo band.
Chim-chim being played by a really chimpanzee. Unless he starts
throwing poop around, we might as well be watching Most Valuable
Primate, with racing.
Christina Ricci as Trixie. Bad choice. From now on all of her roles should be trashier and whorier - like in Black Snake Moan.
Personally, I have vowed not to see any cartoon-turned-live-action movie until they make a Thundercats movie.
Iron Man has the awesome suit. Batman has an insane Joker. What does Speed Racer have? Oooo....a car, whoopie!
There are many more important things you could be doing all
weekend. For example, riding a bike, going for a walk, throwing the
ball around....or what most of us will do, play GTA IV.
There are thousands upon thousands of other reasons why you should
not go see this movie. The movie will still rake in millions of dollars
and will help usher in the summer blockbuster season. Secretly, I hope
Iron Man beats the crap out of Speed Racer.- davesdaily
